ICT Network Supporter / CompTIA N+
As an ICT Network Supporter, you will be able to set up and maintain a professional network based on Windows Server. During the course, you will set up a complete virtualised server and network environment for an SME and learn how to commission and configure the necessary services. The course is practice-oriented so that you will be able to instantly apply what you have learned. This offer is part (module 2) of the programme IT Specialist (System & Network Technology).

What does the course cover?
This practice-oriented course covers the following topics:
- Network basics as well as network protocols and their properties
- Demonstrate how network protocols work and use practical exercises
- Installation of Windows servers including the configuration of roles and features such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, print services, file sharing, WSUS and group policies
- Server virtualisation with Microsoft Hyper-V
- Evaluation of cloud services and examination of their field of application
- Development of the procedure for error analysis, monitoring and troubleshooting in the network
- Dealing with security aspects in the network
- Backup and restore
Learning objectives
- You have basic knowledge on the subject of networks
- You can install, configure and maintain a Windows server
- You are the contact person for the maintenance and expansion of network installations in SMEs and can competently support their employees with problems in the server and network area
Requirements
The ICT Desktop Technician course or equivalent knowledge.
