If you have a flair for IT and graphic design and want to help shape Web 3.0, this programme is for you. Upon completion, you will work as a web designer – a specialist in areas such as layouting, prototyping and user-oriented web design. You will also learn to keep accurate project documentation and to present your project in an appropriate way.
What content does the postgraduate course cover?
- The basics of web design
- UI/UX design, user-centred design; you ensure optimal interaction between user and product
- Accessibility; you ensure that the web content is barrier-free and user-friendly
- Rapid prototyping; you model, check and optimise the web design
- Testing
- Different presentation techniques with which you present your projects to clients
Requirements
Independence and discipline are required for the Web Designer NDK HF course of study. The programme draws on blended learning techniques, a combination of online and in-person teaching. Around 25 % of the programme is taught in the classroom, i.e. in-person teaching on site. Accompanied e-learning makes up the larger part at around 75 %. Course materials are almost all available online.
You can register for the postgraduate course Web Designer if you meet these admission requirements:
- Knowledge of English, at least level B1: The language of instruction is German, but many learning materials are only available in English.
- You have a Swiss federal diploma (professional examination), a federal degree (higher professional examination) or a degree from a higher technical or technical college. Or you can show that you have completed a university degree.
- Admission as a mature student: Provided that you demonstrate qualified knowledge, admission is also possible without the required qualifications.
- Bring your own device: You use your own device for the lessons.
- You will need an Adobe licence.
Special feature
The Web Designer NDK HF qualification corresponds to the first of three modules of the Master in Web Engineering degree programme.
The Master’s degree in Web Engineering is awarded to those who complete the three postgraduate courses Web Designer, Web Developer and Web Engineer.
