Participation in the Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert course is only possible if you have basic IT expertise and experience in the professional IT environment. In addition, know-how in various aspects of IT operations is a prerequisite. This includes virtualisation, network, identity, security, disaster recovery, data management, business continuity, budgeting and governance. Finally, you need also to have obtained the Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator (AZ-103) certificate. This examination, as well as the associated Microsoft training, is part of the IBAW educational programme.

Examination fees for the optional Exam AZ-300: Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies and Exam AZ-301: Microsoft Azure Architect Design are not included in the course costs. All participants receive a Microsoft Achievement certificate of attendance after the nine-day course. To obtain certification as a Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, success in these two examinations as well as in the Azure Administrator examination (AZ-103) is required.
